Big Tree Wedding Stationery’s design range is constantly growing and more and more of you are using our Bespoke Design Service to create Personalized Wedding Stationery especially for your Wedding Day.  We can change the colour, text and layout on all of our Wedding Stationery designs to suit you.  We pride ourselves on being a Recycled Wedding Stationery company all our designs are printed on at least 75% recycled card or FSC registered card and are of a very high quality.

Wedding Stationery 
Save the Date cards are normally a postcard size invitation to send to your guests with the date of your Wedding on them.  They enable the guests to Save the Date of your Wedding, it is the first they will hear of your Wedding and will detail the Wedding Date, the Bride and Grooms names, the venue and could even include an accommodation list so the guests can plan ahead and book where they are going to stay.  It is best to send this part of your Wedding Stationery out anything up to a year in advance especially if you are getting married in the Summer or around Christmas as people tend to book holidays etc. in advance around these times.

Wedding Invitations go out next, these can be sent out about 3 months before the Wedding date.  These will detail the Wedding Date, the Bride and Groom, the Mother and Father of the Bride, the Wedding Venue, the time of the ceremony and reception and any other little details like, “bring your dancing shoes” and “carriages at midnight”.  

Reply Cards can be included, we have a reply card attached to our Triple Fold Wedding Invitations this means your guests can reply quicker and easier to your Wedding Invitations only having to cut along the dotted line and fill in their details on the Reply Card.  This is a good opportunity to add any menu requirements, if the guests need a high chair or any dietary requirements.

History

Traditionally the Brides family post Wedding Invitations inviting guests to join them to celebrate the marriage of their daughter.  More recently brides are sending the Wedding Invitations on behalf of the Bride and Groom inviting guests to join them on their Wedding Day.  Wedding Invitations used to be announced by a town crier before printing was invented, any one who heard this was invited to enjoy the celebrations.  Now Wedding Invitations are sent to the Bride and Grooms friends and family by means of Save the Date cards to book the date, then followed by Wedding Invitations to formally invite the guests to join them on their Wedding Day.

Moving forward Wedding Invitations started to be hand written and delivered by hand or by horse back put in a double envelope to protect them.  This method of a double envelope is still used today in some Wedding Stationery.  It wasn’t until after World War II that we saw the Wedding Invitations that we see today.  Now Wedding Stationery includes Save the Date cards, Wedding Invitations, Reply Cards, Order of Service, Table Plans, Table Numbers, Name Place Cards, Menus and Thank you Cards.

Wedding Stationery

Wedding Stationery is one of the first things you need to organise when planning your Wedding.  Save the Date Cards are becoming ever more popular, they are a great way for your guests to Save the Date for your Wedding day.  These are normally sent out a year to six months in advance of your Wedding date.  Big Tree Wedding Stationery provide a postcard size Save the Date card which can include accommodation lists for the area, this means your guests can not only Save the Date but they can also book their accommodation in advance of the Wedding day.

The next piece of Wedding Stationery to organise are the Wedding Invitations, these generally are sent out to your guests three to six months before the Wedding date.  Big Tree Wedding Stationery provide Postcard Wedding Invitations, Single fold Wedding Invitations and Triple fold Wedding Invitations, the Triple fold Wedding Invitations come with a Reply Card attached so your guests are more likely to reply to your Wedding Invitations on time.

Other Wedding Stationery you may be interested in organizing are the Order of Service, Big Tree Wedding Stationery can design these to match your Wedding Invitations and Save the Date cards so the theme continues throughout your Wedding Stationery.  You will need to speak to your Vicar or Minister to work on the text for the Order Of Service.  We provide a booklet Order of Service with 4 leaves for your Order of Service to be printed.
